Jefferson Science Fellows Program
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine is pleased to announce a call for applications for the 2022 Jefferson Science Fellows (JSF) program. Online applications are now being accepted.
Established by the Secretary of State in 2003, this fellowship program serves as an innovative model for engaging the American academic science, technology, engineering, and medical communities in U.S. foreign policy and international development through on-site work at the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
The JSF program is open to tenured, or similarly ranked, faculty from U.S. institutions of higher learning who are U.S. citizens.

Fulbright U.S. Scholars Program
In continuing 75 years of international impact, the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program offers diverse opportunities for U.S. academics, administrators and professional to teach, research, and engage in professional projects. More than 800 awards are available to U.S. citizens in more than 135 countries. Award types include Scholar awards, Distinguished Scholar awards, Postdoctoral awards and International Education Administrator Awards.
Interested faculty and professionals are encouraged to visit the Catalog of Awards to learn about opportunities in the field of Engineering along with other fields. Fulbright opportunities range from a few months to a full year and many awards offer flexible durations. The application deadline for most awards is September 15, 2021.
