UAS7 Internship Program - Germany

UAS7 is a strategic alliance of seven leading German Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) which include the Berlin School of Economics and Law, Bremen City University of Applied Sciences, Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, TH Köln - University of Applied Sciences, HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences, FH Münster University of Applied Sciences and Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. 

Ohio State students have the opportunity to intern at one of these top seven institutions in Germany, working closely with faculty members on a particular project relevant to students' majors. Begin searching for opportunities using the UAS7 search tool here.

Kyoto University of Advanced Sciences - Japan

Kyoto University of Advanced Sciences (KUAS) in Japan is an international institution with all engineering course instruction conducted in English. 7.3% of their total student population are international students. Ohio State students can collaborate with KUAS faculty to conduct research for up to 90 days during any term.

There are opportunities to participate in projects in fields including computer science, robotics, AI, biomedical engineering, environmental, electrical, mechanical, material science, information systems engineering and others.

Engineering Community-Based Learning in Ghana: Internship

This internship program is with UNiTED Projects, a community resource and empowerment center in Kpando, Ghana. UNiTED Projects hosts the Engineering Service-Learning in Ghana student groups and facilitates our community relationships. It is their goal to promote relationships and programming that responds to the local needs. 

Student interns will participate in projects following the human-centered design model, including the following steps, which are repeated over time: research (identifying new problems, continued research), reporting in the form of recommendations to all key stakeholders, project design (including funding proposal and fundraising if applicable), project implementation, project evaluation, adjust project proposal or report project outcomes. They monitor each step of the cycle closely and expect detailed reports.

Project outcomes will be shared with the global education students participating in the Autumn term course, Engineering Service-Learning in Ghana program and vice versa.

DAAD Rise - Germany

Undergraduate students can apply to participate in research internship opportunities throughout Germany, working with doctoral students and researchers from various universities. This program is open to university students across the United States, Ireland, and the United Kingdom and offers approximately 300 intern opportunities each year.
