Dean Williams Visits China

Dean Williams is in China this week meeting with university and industry partners and expanding collaborations with the College of Engineering on a range of education and research projects.

His visit begins in Shanghai where he will meet with the College's Alumni Advisory Group in China.  Later, he will deliver a talk at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and discuss the College's expanding cooperative programs with SJTU's many engineering programs before also meeting with several industry partners located in the city.

Following a visit south to Guanghzhou to explore additional industry connections in the areas of manufactiring and energy efficient vehicles, Dean Williams will travel back north to Xi'an where the College is also working to open new avenues for study abroad and student exchanges.

The trip will culminate in a visit to Beijing where Dean Williams will join Dean Alan Michaels from the Moritz College of Law and Vice Provost William Brustein for an OSU Alumni Reception.

Before departing the Chinese capital, Dean Williams will deliver a talk at IBM Research-China outlining the College's work in data analytics and also visit Beihang University which entered into a Student Exchange Agreement with the College of Engineering just this past June.

The College of Engineering remains committed to opening up pathways for our students and faculty to work and study in China and is excited by the fabulous contributions and outstanding role our alumni in China are making in support of these growing efforts.
