The College of Engineering is excited to annnounce its newest Engineering Abroad program.

The Engineering Service Learning in Ghana (ENGR 4692.02S/5797.17S) is the College of Engineering's first Autumn/Winter Break study abroad program and its first program to lead students to Africa!

This exciting opportunity consists of an Autumn Semester course followed by a two-week in-country experience in Ghana during the winter break in December.

The program is similar in structure and function to other service-learning programs offered by the College of Engineering and is affiliated with the Ohio State Knowlton School of Architecture (KSA) City and Regional Planning (CRP) Ghana-Sustainable Change program.

Students work with KSA CRP and an in-country partner to research, develop and implement useful sustainable engineering solutions that support the Ghana-Sustainable Change mission. The program is focused in the Offinso North District in rural Ghana and OSU students enrolled in this program work at the grass roots level and in partnership with students and faculty from local universities to develop and implement their projects.

Following the in-country trip, the students document their accomplishments and present the projects to faculty and peers at Ohio State.
