COIL/Virtual Exchange Learning Community: May 4-27

The Office of International Affairs and the Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning announce a learning community to promote Collaborative Online International Learning / Virtual Exchange (COIL/VE). The aim is to support instructors in designing new global and intercultural student learning experiences in virtual modalities. These new programs, which may be course-based or project-based, should connect Ohio State students with their peers around the world through collaborative learning and meaningful intercultural interactions in virtual space.
Participants will engage in course design, intercultural learning and assessment, together with peers and experienced facilitators. Additionally, each participant will receive $1,500 discretionary grant to be used for course development, materials and professional development.
Interested applicants are welcome to contact Cindy Jiang (jiang.533@osu.edu) or Laurie Maynell (maynell.1@osu.edu) for consultation. Applications are due on April 5 and notification date is expected by April 12.
Meetings will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 4-27 from 1:00pm - 2:00pm.
