Engineering Service-Learning in Guyana: Information Session

Winter break engineering abroad opportunities!

All dates for this event occur in the past.

Come learn about this new program which will run over winter break, 2019. Students will enroll in a 3 credit hour course over autumn term and travel over winter break as a group.

By participating in this program, students will: 

  • Learn about socio-economic, politcal and environmental challenges faced by people in developing county context
  • Attain stronger understanding and appreciation of Guyanese culture and thought
  • Help research, develop and document solutions to solar education challenges with faculty and students from the University of Guyana
  • Apply humanitarian concepts to real-world issues

 

Attend one of the upcoming information sessions to hear from the faculty resident directors, and dig deeper into the content of this program.
